The heart of the temple is the beautiful Shri 1008 Parshvanath Bhagwan, whose divine presence gives
the temple its special spiritual atmosphere. The main Pratima is a magnificent black-marble image of Bhagwan Parshvanath, beautifully adorned and placed beneath the sacred serpent canopy, creating a peaceful and powerful sight for devotees.
A deeply special part of this Pratima’s history is that it was personally selected and purchased by Muni Shri 108 Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj during his lifetime. His connection with the Pratima makes it especially meaningful to the devotees who come here to remember his life and teachings. After his Samadhi, Acharya Shri 108 Prasann Sagar Ji Maharaj carried forward this sacred journey and performed the Panch Kalyanak Pratishtha of the Pratima. The temple thus brings together the devotion of Bhagwan Parshvanath and the spiritual legacy of the revered Jain saints who guided its creation.
The temple also holds a place of devotion to Mata Padmavati, who is revered in the Jain tradition as the Shasan Devi of Bhagwan Parshvanath. She is remembered for her devotion, protection and strong spiritual presence. Devotees pray to Mata Padmavati with faith and respect, seeking strength, peace and guidance in their lives. Her presence alongside Bhagwan Parshvanath adds to the spiritual beauty of the temple and creates a peaceful space for prayer and devotion. The shrine encourages devotees to turn inward, remain calm and follow the values of faith, discipline and compassion.
The Shri 1008 Parshvanath Gufa Mandir is a beautiful addition to this sacred place, created with devotion and a deep sense of faith. The temple was completed in just 100 days under the guidance and presence of Acharya Shri 108 Prasann Sagar Ji Maharaj and Upadhyay Muni Shri Piyush Sagar Ji Maharaj as part of the Panchkalyanak Mahamahotsav.
The Gufa Mandir was inaugurated by Hon’ble Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath on 27 November 2025. During his visit, he offered prayers to Bhagwan Parshvanath and paid his respects to Muni Shri 108 Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj.
The occasion was a beautiful coming together of devotion, spirituality and Jain tradition. In his address, Shri Yogi Adityanath spoke about the teachings of the Jain Tirthankaras and their message of compassion, friendship, non-violence and “live and let live.” He also spoke about the important place of saints and monks in India’s spiritual tradition.
Today, the Gufa Mandir stands as a peaceful place for darshan, prayer and reflection, while also carrying forward the spiritual memory of Bhagwan Parshvanath and Muni Shri Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj. Its creation in such a short time and the blessings of the revered saints make it a meaningful part of the spiritual journey of every devotee who visits.
