Acharya Shri 108 Pushpadant Sagar Ji Maharaj
Acharya Shri 108 Pushpadant Sagar Ji Maharaj is a revered Digambar Jain Acharya known for his spiritual discipline, knowledge and dedication to Jain Dharma.
He was born on 1 January 1954 in Gondia, Maharashtra, and was named Sushil Jain at birth. From an early age, he was drawn towards spirituality and the path of renunciation. He later embraced the life of a Jain monk and dedicated himself to spiritual practice, self-discipline and spreading the message of Jain Dharma.
Acharya Shri Pushpadant Sagar Ji Maharaj is also known as the founder of Pushpagiri Tirth. He is the Diksha Guru of Muni Shri 108 Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj and Acharya Shri 108 Prasann Sagar Ji Maharaj, both of whom followed the path of Jain monkhood under his guidance.
His life and teachings continue to inspire devotees towards spirituality, self-discipline, simplicity and the values of Jain Dharma.
Muni Shri 108 Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj
The Saint Who Spoke Fearlessly
Muni Shri 108 Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj was one of the most widely known Digambar Jain monks of modern times. He was known for his simple language, fearless expression and powerful spiritual messages that connected Dharma with everyday life.
He was born on 26 June 1967 in Guhanchi village of Damoh district, Madhya Pradesh. His birth name was Pawan Kumar Jain. From a young age, he was drawn towards spirituality and renunciation. He came under the guidance of Acharya Shri 108 Pushpadant Sagar Ji Maharaj, who became his spiritual Guru. On 20 July 1988, he received Muni Diksha at Bagidora, Rajasthan, under the guidance of Acharya Shri Pushpadant Sagar Ji Maharaj.
His Teachings
Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj had a unique way of communicating deep spiritual thoughts in simple and direct words. His discourses were not limited to religious practices. He spoke about family, relationships, honesty, self-discipline, responsibility, character and the challenges faced by society.
He believed that Dharma should not remain limited to temples and rituals. It should be reflected in a person’s thoughts, words and actions. He encouraged people to look within themselves, correct their own mistakes and bring positive change into their daily lives.
The Famous "Kadve Pravachan"
Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj became especially known for his “Kadve Pravachan”, meaning “bitter discourses.” Through these discourses, he spoke openly about issues and weaknesses within individuals and society.
His words were sometimes difficult to hear, but they were intended to make people think and look honestly at their own lives. His message focused on values such as truth, discipline, compassion, self-control and responsibility.
His simple style allowed his message to reach people from different age groups and backgrounds, extending beyond the Jain community as well.
A Life of Renunciation
As a Jain Muni, Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj dedicated his life to renunciation, self-control and spiritual practice. He chose a life of simplicity and discipline and used his words to encourage people to look beyond material success towards inner peace and spiritual growth.
He often reminded people that real change begins within oneself and that a better society can only be created when individuals work on their own thoughts and conduct.
His Legacy
Tarun Sagar Ji Maharaj attained Samadhi on 1 September 2018 in New Delhi. Although he is no longer physically present, his teachings continue to reach people through his books, recorded discourses and the many devotees who remember his message.
His “Kadve Pravachan” remain closely associated with his name and continue to inspire people to reflect on their lives, values and actions.
His life is remembered for renunciation, discipline, simplicity and fearless expression, and his spiritual journey remains an important part of the lineage of Acharya Shri 108 Pushpadant Sagar Ji Maharaj.
Acharya Shri 108 Prasann Sagar Ji Maharaj
A Life Dedicated to Tapasya and Inner Discipline
Acharya Shri 108 Prasann Sagar Ji Maharaj is a revered Digambar Jain Acharya known for his deep spiritual practice, penance, meditation and discipline.
He was born on 23 July 1970 in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, as Dilip Kumar Jain. He chose the path of renunciation at a young age and came under the guidance of Acharya Shri 108 Pushpadant Sagar Ji Maharaj, who is his Diksha Guru. He received Muni Diksha on 18 April 1989 at Paratapura, Rajasthan.
Today, Acharya Shri 108 Prasann Sagar Ji Maharaj is known for his rigorous spiritual practices, tapasya, meditation and long periods of silence. His life reflects the Jain ideals of renunciation, self-control and inner purification, inspiring devotees towards simplicity, discipline and spiritual awareness.
